United Methodist Women met on February 8th, with 7 members and 1 District Officer present, with President Marsha Plybon presiding over the meeting. Our December and January meetings were cancelled due to bad weather.
Deidra Bodge and Maxine McPherson served as hostesses. The Executive Committee had previously met on January 25th to set up our Activities dates for the year. The first important date is our annual Rummage Sale on April 1st from 8am to 2pm, so it is time to clean the closets and etc.
Marlene Ruddlesden presented our program on Finding Peace. V. President Lois Carvell had purchased Valentine's for the ladies to sign for 33 of our College students and shut-ins.
Cards were signed for the Tuell family, Tammie Goff and Niki Fleming.
A trip, sponsored by Ritchie County, to visit Scott's Run Settlement House and Heart and Hand, is scheduled for April 2nd. Marsha is coordinating this and it is open to the District. Barbara Calvert will have the March program, Deidra Bodge and Lois Carvell have Kitchen Care for March.
