The Lubeck Christian Community Cupboard today served 31 people, about 2-1/2 times the pre-recession average. Here are the restocking needs:
Urgent: Paper towels
Moderate: Oats
Cold cereal – unsweetened
Instant potatoes
Fruit juice
Jam or jelly
Raisins
Hamburger helper
Toilet tissue
Bar soap
Shampoo
Dish soap
Laundry detergent
No current need: Canned vegetables
Canned fruit
Mac and cheese mix
Grocery donations can be placed in the shopping basket beside the water fountain in the church narthex. Cash donations are also very welcome. Cash can be placed in the coffee can in the shopping basket, or checks can go in the church offering marked for "Food Basket".
The Cupboard has need also for the following items:
- Baby clothing -- infant to two years
- Womens' clothing extra-large sizes 1X, 2X, 3X , . . ..
The clothing doesn't need to be new, although new is okay, but it must be clean. Donations can go in the food basket in the church narthex.
